Mary Pat Olsund was diagnosed with stage IC cancer in May 2005 at the age of 42. One year after completing chemotherapy she decided to celebrate her one-year anniversary by participating in MOCA’s Annual Silent No More Walk/Run. After experiencing the Silent No More Walk/Run and the the wonderful volunteers of MOCA she knew she wanted to be apart of such a great organization. Mary Pat learned that she was very lucky to be diagnosed at such an early stage. She does not believe the diagnosis of ovarian cancer should be left up to luck which why she supports and volunteers at MOCA. Mary Pat and her husband David live in South Minneapolis with their three children. Her hobbies include running, golf and tennis. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends.
