Employer Gifts & Matches

Many companies have matching gift programs to encourage employees to donate to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match your contribution dollar for dollar, and some employers will even double or triple the amount of your gift. If your employer has a matching gift program, MOCA will help you facilitate the paperwork.

United Way Write-In Charity

MOCA is not a United Way agency organization, so we do not receive support from that group’s general funding campaign. However, you can support MOCA through your United Way workplace campaign by writing in “MOCA” under “Other” on your United Way pledge card. By doing this, you’ll be supporting MOCA’s mission with a portion of your United Way paycheck deductions.

Gifts of Stock

MOCA is able to accept gifts of stock. To make arrangements or find out more, please contact MOCA’s executive director, Kathleen Gavin, at kgavin@mnovarian.org or (612) 822-0500.

Tax-Free IRA Transfers

Attention donors over 70 1/2 years of age: Under the Pension Protection Act of 2006,  you can make tax-free contributions of IRA funds directly to MOCA and other charitable organizations. Previously, donors had to pay income tax on all funds withdrawn from IRAs, regardless of the destination. Please consult your financial/tax advisor for more information.

Estate Planning

Help us carry on the battle against ovarian cancer by making arrangements to donate part of your estate to MOCA. Your gift may be dedicated to a particular area (research funding, outreach, etc.) or general funding. For more information, please contact MOCA’s executive director, Kathleen Gavin, at kgavin@mnovarian.org or (612) 822-0500.
