8.3.12 Teresa Faust is a MOCA board member and survivor from the Nisswa area. She gives us a preview of what to expect at the first-ever Northland Teal Run this Sunday in Brainerd! Race details can be found here – day-of registration is available!
I’m so excited for the new MOCA event in the Brainerd/Nisswa Lakes Area this Sunday, August 5! The Northland Teal Run is MOCA’s first race in the area and will run through the beautiful trails of the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.
I’ve looked ahead at the forecast and it should be a perfect day for a 5K walk or run – and a 1K Kids Fun Run – partly sunny with a high of 74°.
I’ll be part of the Team Teal of the North support group volunteering at the event with our Tie It Teal shoelaces on and can’t wait! We’re expecting more than 100 runners and walkers, including a group of nurses from Essentia who were highlighted in a preview story in the Brainerd Dispatch today. So many people are coming out to support and raise money for MOCA, it will truly be a great event.
If you’re in the area, we hope to see you out on the trails on Sunday! Day-of registration is available – Tie it Teal with us and just do it!
