9.9.15 What can survivors expect at HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer this Saturday?
Expect celebration. Except some pampering, snacks and goodies. And expect to meet more than 200 other survivors to connect with!
Don’t miss out on visiting our Survivor Tent, where we have information about MOCA support groups and programming – and you’ll be gifted with a survivor bag full of goodies thanks to our generous sponsors. You can pick up your survivor pin and note how many months or years it’s been since your diagnosis.
Our annual survivor photo is an event you won’t want to miss – and this year we are taking the photo to new heights! Thanks to the generous donation of time and talent of photographer Carlton McMillan, we will have a drone photographer take an amazing aerial shot of our survivor group photo this year, so we can make sure to get the best shot possible! (Weather permitting)
Please wear your teal survivor shirt and be ready at 8:15 a.m. at the bottom of the hill just to the west of the stage. There will be signs and announcements to help you find the way. We will provide some chairs for survivors who would rather sit during the photo. Please plan on getting to the park a bit earlier than usual to be part of this photo opportunity!
Connection & Information:
Be sure to visit our sponsor booths for information and giveaway items. You may just see your doctor or nurse there! And stop by the MOCA info tent to learn more about what MOCA does.
And when you register, you can walk, run – or just connect with others at the park that day, whatever you are up for! We hope you will join us – register now online here or at the event on the day-of HOM Teal Strides.
Note: There will be construction on Highway 100 near Rosland Park this weekend – check the MNDOT page for details and plan your travel to HOM Teal Strides accordingly.
