MOCA Awards Luncheon & Education Summit

Be our guest at the MOCA Awards Luncheon & Education Summit! Join us as we honor our health care community, announce our 2023 National Early Detection Research Awards and present our MOCA Dream Awards.

The afternoon continues with educational sessions exploring treatment advances, integrative therapies and more. Learn about clinical trials by meeting with representatives from Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota/Masonic Cancer Center and MMCORC.

This meeting is free and open to the public, but registration is requested. Guests are welcome to attend our entire event, the luncheon and program only, or educational sessions only. Registration is strongly encouraged for guests attending our luncheon.

Learn about some of the recent treatment advances in ovarian cancer including a new class of drugs called ADCs or antibody drug conjugates and more. Explore how new treatments are evaluated through clinical trials and important considerations for enrollment.

Speaker: Brenda Hartman, MSW, LICSW, 30+ Year Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer Survivor

How do you cope with the challenges of ovarian cancer? Learn ways to navigate the stages of survivorship, including the fear of recurrence. Join us in this discussion about learning to heal and find life and joy beyond cancer.

3:15-4:00 p.m.            Naturopathic Integrative Approaches to Ovarian Cancer
Speaker: Helen Healy, ND

Gain insight into a naturopathic approach to ovarian cancer care and learn about specific herbs and other nutrients that work safely alongside chemotherapy or by themselves to improve quality of life.
