The Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) is committed to our mission of funding ovarian cancer research, educating the public and health care community about this disease, raising awareness and supporting all women and families impacted by ovarian cancer. MOCA works to make sure no woman faces ovarian cancer alone. Through our efforts, we have learned systemic racism continues to create barriers for Black women seeking medical care and often impacts the quality of cancer care they receive. MOCA is committed to listening to the Black community and taking action to address the racial inequities Black women with ovarian cancer face.
MOCA’s office is located in South Minneapolis. Our hearts are broken over the horrific events that led to George Floyd’s death in our community. While MOCA is an ovarian cancer organization, we recognize social justice is an issue for us all. We stand in solidarity with the Black community. It’s imperative we do our part, so we can better serve all women and families impacted by ovarian cancer. MOCA encourages our supporters to work with us for meaningful change.
