Want to get involved helping MOCA raise awareness about ovarian cancer and the availability of our services? This is a great way for survivors and loved ones to make an impact! In this month’s Teal Talk MOCA Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany discusses upcoming volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer with MOCA to help us educate the public on the subtle symptoms of ovarian cancer to promote early detection and better outcomes. Volunteers also reach individuals and families impacted by ovarian cancer to make sure they know we are here for them.

We have volunteer opportunities available to represent MOCA at health fairs and other community outreach events throughout the year. At these events, volunteers share the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and hand out information about MOCA. Health fair volunteers can help out during one or more events, depending on their time and availability.

MOCA is currently looking for volunteers to join us at Twin Cities Pride Festival, June 25 and 26 at Loring Park in Minneapolis. Want to learn more about this opportunity or others? Please reach out to me at sgliniany@mnovarian.org or 612-584-3550. If there is an event in your area that you would like us to consider, please let me know. We are always looking for more opportunities to raise awareness about ovarian cancer!
