A key part of MOCA’s mission is to raise awareness of ovarian cancer. There is no better time to get involved! In this month’s Teal Talk, MOCA Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany shares some fun ways you can get involved leading up to Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

MOCA shares the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer to promote early detection and better treatment outcomes. Our volunteers attend health fairs and events throughout the year to educate the public.

We are excited to share that MOCA will join the Minnesota State Fair parade on Wednesday, August 30th.  MOCA is looking for survivors and supporters who would like to walk alongside our Teal Ribbon Float at 2 p.m. If you are interested in helping us raise awareness at the State Fair, please contact me at sgliniany@mnovarian.org. We have a limited number of State Fair tickets available to our volunteers. Come dressed in teal!

Can’t make it to the fair? We have several volunteer opportunities to represent MOCA at health fairs and other outreach events in the community. This is a great way for survivors and loved ones to get involved with MOCA’s mission! If you are interested in volunteering or want to learn more, reach out to me at sgliniany@mnovarian.org or 612-584-3550.
