As we enter the new year, many of us take time to reflect and set intentions for our lives. In this month’s Teal Talk, MOCA Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany shares ways to help you set intentions that will bring purpose and joy to your life.

Did you know setting intentions can make a huge difference in your mindset? Taking time to focus on what’s important to you and what gives you purpose will help you set your intentions.

Here are some ways to get started:

Connect with the elements in your life that bring you joy. What gives you passion and brings you energy?

  1. Create a word or short phrase that sums up your intentions. These words can become your mantra.
  2. Write it down and share with a loved one for accountability.
  3. You can use one intention per week, month, or for the entire year, it’s up to you! Once you’ve set your intention, think about it one time each day and let it go. This should be an enjoyable practice!
