One of MOCA’s key missions is to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. In this month’s Teal Talk, MOCA Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany shares some ways you can help get involved and have some fun!

MOCA works with volunteers to raise awareness at health fairs and events. We reach out to communities across our state to share about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Our goal is to promote early detection and better treatment outcomes.

This year, we have a fun opportunity coming up to kick off Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month! MOCA will be participating in the Minnesota State Fair parade on Wednesday, September 1st. We are looking for people to join us and walk alongside our teal MOCA float. Survivors, loved ones, supporters—wear your teal and help us raise awareness! The State Fair parade starts at 2 p.m., and we have a limited number of free tickets available. If you are interested in this fun opportunity to make an impact, please send me an email and I can provide more details:

We are always looking for new opportunities to raise awareness about ovarian cancer. If there is an event in your area that you would like us to consider, please reach out to me with your ideas.
