MOCA volunteers raise awareness at Twin Cities Pride Festival.

Part of MOCA’s mission is to educate the public about ovarian cancer. In this month’s Teal Talk, MOCA Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany shares some fun ways you can help us raise awareness and share about MOCA!

We have dedicated volunteers who participate in health fairs and other outreach opportunities throughout the state. These events are great opportunities to share information about ovarian cancer, as well as MOCA’s programs and resources available to survivors, loved ones and caregivers.

You will see MOCA volunteers raising awareness and speaking with attendees at the University of Minnesota’s Survivorship Conference on April 15th, Brighter Day’s 5th Annual Run/Walk to Remember in May—and more outreach events coming up this spring. I am also excited to share that MOCA will be an exhibitor again this year at Twin Cities Pride Festival, the weekend of June 24th and 25th in Loring Park in Minneapolis.

We are always looking for more volunteers to spread awareness and share about MOCA with the community. If you are interested or want to learn more about any of these upcoming opportunities, please reach out to me at sgliniany@mnovarian.org.
