In Events, Survivors

An important part of MOCA’s mission is to raise awareness of the disease. In this month’s Teal Talk, MOCA Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany shares how you can get involved and help educate other women and families.

MOCA is fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who participate in health fairs and other outreach events throughout the state. These are great opportunities to share about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and let others know about MOCA’s meaningful programs and resources.

We are currently organizing volunteers for one of our largest awareness events of the summer! MOCA will have a tent at Twin Cities Pride Festival, June 29-30 at Loring Park in Minneapolis. We are looking for several volunteers to help throughout the weekend, share information about ovarian cancer symptoms and let others know about MOCA’s support and resources. MOCA will provide food, beverages and reimbursement for parking.

If you are interested in volunteering or want to learn more, please reach out to me at sgliniany@mnovarian.org or 612-584-3550. Also, if there is an event in your area you would like us to consider, please let me know. We are always looking for ways to raise awareness about ovarian cancer!
