Teal Talk with Stefanie

In this month’s Teal Talk, Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany writes about the Men of MOCA’s Brews for Dudes event and other ways men can connect with MOCA.

Our annual Brews for Dudes hosted by the Men of MOCA is coming up next month, and it got me thinking about this great group of guys. Ovarian cancer doesn’t just impact women – partners, husbands, brothers, sons and friends are all affected when a woman is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. That is exactly why the Men of MOCA was formed.

Duncan Woodhall is a founding member of the Men of MOCA. He shared, Men of MOCA is a resource for those of us that are touched by this ugly disease every day. It’s an opportunity to seek out advice when struggling or provide encouragement to get through the highs and lows.”

The Men of MOCA group has three core missions: support for men impacted by ovarian cancer, volunteer opportunities and fundraising efforts. The group provides peer-to-peer support and hosts activities and events throughout the year.

Whether you’ve joined us in the past or are new to MOCA, we want to welcome you to our fourth annual Brews for Dudes event. It’s a great way to meet others, connect and support MOCA’s programming and mission. We hope to see you there on Wednesday, March 18th!
