David GehantSecretary

David Gehant joined the MOCA board in May 2014, after being a dedicated volunteer as a committee head for the HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer event since 2011. He was inspired to serve after recognizing the positive impact MOCA had on his sister-in-law when she was seeking support as a survivor, and in honor of his aunt who is fighting the disease right now.

He understands the sense of urgency in MOCA’s mission and is committed to the goals of providing support for those affected, raising awareness, and supporting research that could introduce early detection strategies and improve treatment options.

David, who has a B.A. in Cell Biology and Human Anatomy from Concordia College and an M.B.A from Hamline University, is a Senior Manager in Service Delivery at Symantec. In addition to appreciating the daily rewards of raising two kids with his wife, Kimberly, David enjoys playing/coaching hockey, traveling, and spending time at the lake with family. David resides in Bloomington, Minn.
