Jody joined the MOCA staff in 2019 as the Communications Manager. Jody leads communications, marketing, public relations and media relations efforts for MOCA. A former journalist for many years, Jody first learned about MOCA while on a reporting assignment.
Jody has worked as a reporter at TV stations in Minneapolis, Milwaukee and other cities in the Midwest. Throughout her career, she’s earned an Emmy and several broadcasting awards for covering stories ranging from breaking news to health features.
Before coming to MOCA, Jody was the Director of Communications for another Minnesota nonprofit. Jody is passionate about women’s health and cancer prevention. She’s honored to be a part of the MOCA team, raising awareness about ovarian cancer.
Jody holds a journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and continues to cheer for the Huskers on game days! Jody also serves on the education board at her church and volunteers at her daughters’ school.
Jody, her husband and family live in the western suburbs.
