Kate joined the MOCA staff in October 2017 as an administrative assistant. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she worked with MOCA’s research funding program and became grants manager in August 2018. Kate remotely manages all phases of the grant cycle and is the liaison between MOCA and prospective and currently-funded researchers.
Kate earned her Master’s degree in Public Health from Emory University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA but loves stopping by the MOCA office to say hello when she is in town!
When Kate is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog and partner, Ernesto. Together, they like to travel, volunteer and take their dog to the park.
