Tara joined the MOCA Board of Directors in May 2019.
Tara first became involved with MOCA shortly after her mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and participated in HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer and the Unleash The SHE events.
After she lost her mother to ovarian cancer in 2015, Tara became even more involved and started volunteering with Charlene’s Light in Duluth, which then merged with MOCA. Tara served on the Shine Teal For MOCA committee and as a volunteer for the HOM Furniture Trees Of Hope phone bank. Tara is currently a member of the Light Duluth Teal Planning Committee.
Tara says that helping MOCA with their mission of spreading awareness and education, providing support and advancing research for ovarian cancer is a passion of hers!
She resides in Carlton, Minn. with her husband Barry. They have two daughters and four grandchildren, whom they love spending time with.
