Share Your Experiences in the UNTOLD Study

You can share your voice to help researchers understand the impact of an ovarian cancer diagnosis. In this month’s Teal Talk, MOCA’s Community Support Program Manager Stefanie Gliniany writes about a new opportunity for survivors to make their voices heard.

By participating in a new national study led by investigators at the University of Minnesota, you can help improve understanding of what life really looks like after an ovarian cancer diagnosis and make a difference for others facing this disease.

The UNTOLD (Understanding The Experience of Ovarian Cancer – Life After Diagnosis) Study, is confidential and aims to gather information from patients about how a diagnosis impacts their physical, emotional, social and financial wellbeing. The study is led by Rachel

Vogel, PhD, University of Minnesota Medical School, and Helen Parsons, PhD, MPH, University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Those living in the U.S. (age 18+) diagnosed with ovarian, primary peritoneal or fallopian tube cancer are invited to take part in the study. The information collected will be used to help identify unmet needs in cancer care and survivorship with the goal of improving care and support.

Each week, new participants are eligible for a random drawing for a $200 gift card. The odds of winning are approximately 1 in 75, depending on the number of people who complete the survey each week.
